Guiding Question: What makes life worth living?

Philosophy Statement: I will only live life once. I feel it is important to seize every opportunity in order to fully enjoy the beauty of life. Though I will make mistakes, I must take the high road and put them behind me and grow from the experiences. I must keep everything in moderation and in perspective to be able to roll with the punches and expect the unexpected because life only has as much to offer as I allow it to.

Lyrics to "This Is Your Life"
Yesterday is a wrinkle on your fore head
Yesterday is a promise that you've broken

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes

This is your life and today is all you've got now
(and)
And today is all you ever had

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes

This is your life
are you who you wanna be......

This is your life
are you who you wanna be.....

This is your life
is it every thing you dreamed for it to be

when the world was younger, and you had every thing to looooooose

Yesterday is a kid in the corner
Yesterday is dead and over

And this is your life
are you who you wanna be

This your life are who you wanna be

This your life is it every thing you dreamed for it to be
when the world was younger and you had every thing to lose

Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes!

This is your life are you who you wanna be?
This is your life are you who you wanna be?
This is your life are you who you wanna be?
Yeah!!!!!

This is your life are you who you wanna be
are you who you wanna be
(who you wanna be yeah!)
This is your life are you who you wanna be

This is your life is it every thing you dreamed for it to be
when the world was younger and you had eveything to lose
you had ever thing to lose

Poem
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity
under heaven.
Neither does the wisest man extort all her secret,
and lose his curiousity by finding out her perfection.
In every creak of its mighty hinges a plentitude of mystery,
a palace of enchantment.

Take the wings of the morning,
lose thyself in the continuous wood.
Enjoy Life.
Rejoice while alive, enjoy the day; live life to the fullest;
make the most of what you have.
Why look back?
A clock of stupendous dimensions stands.

Plod on, rise to a degree of determination, command respect.
Go forth under the open sky, make a happy discovery
by a flip of the coin.
If I wait to do everything until I'm sure it's right,
I'll probably never do much of anything.
Enjoy a perfect exhilaration.

Left to the guidance of my own will,
I become the master of my own actions.
Self balanced during the periods of my most intense excitement,
on the basis of reason, to preserve peace and order.

Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation; avoid extremes.
Lose no time, waste nothing.
I wish to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life.
A brother to the insensible rock, amazement may appear sufficiently slight,
yet a wild delight runs through me.

I wonder if anyone cares about me and if I am going to make it.
Through all the changing scenes,
the tide rises, the tide falls,
Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
it is the courage to continue that counts.
Overall someone is watching and helping.
I will survive, I have a purpose.

Life is a game one plays according to the rules.
Is this kind of protection I recieve in return for the rights I give up?
Constraint may make me worse by making me a hypocrite,
but it will never make me a truer man.
In my declaration of rights, thine individual being shoult thou go.
There is no telling how many miles
I will have to run while chasing a dream.
Though, by the endeavor, a better and a happier man than I otherwise
should have been if I had not attempted it.

I will have my life, leave me my name.
I must delight in virtue, and that which I delight in must be happy.
I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.
But one thing I do:
forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead.
I press on toward the goal to win the prize
To thine eternal resting-place and lie down to pleasant dreams.
