Eccentric Emily

Personal Philosophy:

People have limited time in life; so whatever we chose to live for during life, never waste the precious moments by living halfheartedly. If we get discouraged every time we fail, we will never achieve anything. No matter how rough life gets, look for the light and live now for the moments that take your breath away.

Seems that I have been held, in some dreaming state
A tourist in the waking world, never quite awake
It was like traveling into a far country,
Such as I had never expected to behold
Surprised at our own versatility
In being able to fail in so many ways

We were the kings and queens of promise,
We are the victims of ourselves
The soul's escaping
Through this hole that it's gaping,
It only grows harder

I feel like a candle in a hurricane
When I’m caught in the rain
with nowhere to run
And when I think I only see what I hate,
I know this much is true
That endless light
It's the only thing we ever see
In the darkness
Though the sun is gone,
I have a light.

We are all in the gutter,
And the tide rises, the tide falls
But some of us are looking at the stars
As the stars make themselves visible.
Can you imagine?
Perhaps they are not stars, but rather

Look at the stars,
Never let go of hope
Life is a winding road
The end of which is nowhere in sight.
And so with the paths:
Wherever you go,
no matter what the weather,
always bring your own sunshine.

Life is full of beauty
When the mind is open to its influence
Smell the rain and feel the wind
And when you get down to itexternal image 501019e0d9b704ebc0193cf37015b2d2.jpg
It’s our time to live
So live,
We only get one life and
Each of us
Has the power to give life meaning

"The Breath You Take" -George Strait

Be sure of this:
Whatever you will do
Always be employed in something useful,
Catch hold of life
It’s not about living longer,
It’s about how you live and why.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
But by the moments that take our breath away.
